About the Naked & Famous: Joaquin Simo dreamed up this drink in 2011 as "the bastard child born out of an illicit Oaxacan love affair between the classic Last Word and the Paper Plane, a drink Sam Ross created at the West Village bar Little Branch." An equal-parts concoction of mezcal, Yellow Chartreuse, Aperol, and lime juice, the Naked & Famous's has all the markers of a "modern classic" cocktail: its reach has extended far beyond our bars, its recipe is approachable and easy to replicate, and it's singularly delicious.
